For the ZP-20D variable count and twist device, modifications are first made to the original spinning frame transmission system by disconnecting the drive between the middle/rear rollers and the front roller. Two servo motors are then separately installed: one to drive the middle/rear rollers and the other to drive the front roller. An encoder is mounted on the main spindle at the machine head, while a control cabinet (featuring a PLC control system) is installed in the upper section of the machine head. This setup enables the precise configuration of process parameters such as slubby grouping, twist, slubby length, slubby thickness, and slubby density.
The installation of this variable count and twist slubby yarn device allows differential twist application between the base yarn and the slubby sections during spinning-the base yarn receives higher twist, while the slubby sections receive lower twist.
